Motivacio Foundation has won a project that is about surveying needs of disabled people.
(The code number of the project is: FOG KT-08-0003).
The title of the project is: Let’s go out somewhere!
The aim of the survey is analysing touristic habits of disabled people, and their needs of touristic services, and presenting the demand with the help of a survey that based on reperesentative sampled questionnaire.
Duration of the survey:
01/03/2009 – 10/08/2009

Main points of the survey:

• Touristic habits:

• resorting, and resting habits
• the most preferred resting methods
• the location, duration of rest and the way of traveling
• the demanded resting services
• different factors forming the resting habits

Detaining factors:
Those (physical, financial, menthal, socail and other) circumstances, that hamper the target group members to have touristic services.
For instance:
Naming the problem.
Frequance of the occurence.
Measures how to handle them, and the efficiency of these.

Accessibility
What is really necessary for an accessible touristic accomodation and other touristic services.
Infrastructural equipment
Personal conditions
Informatique system
Any other condition

Solvent demand
Demand of disabled persons and their family members that meet the above mentioned reqirements, touristic services equally available

Survey by questionnaire:
The size of the sample: 1000 persons

Further point of views during the surveying:
Age group: under 18 year, between 18 and 64 year, over 64 year
The age group is important because of differences about lifestyle and decision competencies.
Gender: Half of replying people are men and women.
Type of disability: Selecting between the gained and born with ones is important because of the obtained touristic expereince
